As the days begin once more to draw shorter, September is the perfect month to pack away the barbecue and stay cosily inside, and the Horror Channel have a terrific line-up of movies to accompany the dark evenings.

Friday 23rd sees the UK TV premiere of Renny Harlin’s icy horror mystery The Dyatlov Pass Incident (2013), while the month also sees the network premieres of Christopher Smith’s compelling psychological thriller Triangle (2009, airing Sat 17th) and Jason Eisener’s Rutger Hauer-starring Hobo with a Shotgun (2011, Fri 9th).

Also enjoying their network premieres are Darren Lynn Bousman’s wince-inducing Saw III (2006, Sat 10th), Phil Claydon’s sharply-toothed Lesbian Vampire Killers (2009, Fri 16th), the late Robin Hardy’s all-time classic The Wicker Man (1973, Sat 24th) and the Pang Brothers’ creepy family drama The Messengers (2007, Fri 30th).

Plus, there’s an exciting line-up of daytime films, the highlight of which has got to be the UK TV premiere of Terrordactyl (2016, Weds 28th), in which Los Angeles is plagued by a swarm of… well, you can work that out from the title.

You can find Horror Channel on Sky 319, Virgin 149, Freesat 138, Freeview 70. For more information, head over to http://www.horrorchannel.co.uk/.
