She’s been friends with vampires and now she’ll be up against zombies – TWILIGHT’s Christian Serratos has been cast as Rosita Espinosa in the upcoming fourth season of THE WALKING DEAD.

Espinosa is a tough but beautiful Hispanic survivor, first introduced in issue 53 of Robert Kirkman’s comic series. When Rosita meets Rick and his gang, she’s traveling with former US Army sergeant Abraham Ford and depressed doctor Eugene Porter, so it’s possible these two popular characters will be making their screen debuts too.

Rosita will play a recurring role throughout season 4, with the option to move up to regular status from season 5. Let’s hope Serratos can prove tough enough when faced with non-sparkly undead – Rosita and her group could be a great addition to the cast.

Watch out for THE WALKING DEAD coming your way, with season 4 premiering on AMC on 13th October, followed by its UK broadcast on FOX on 18th October.
