While MOCKINGBIRD LANE’s fate appears to be sealed – as previously reported, NBC halted production recently – the Pilot episode will be aired on the network on October 26th as a Halloween Special. While it might be an unusual decision, more often than not these things never see the light of day, Fuller does promise that it has “a beginning, middle and an end”, so might make for an interesting watch. In an interview with dreadcentral, Fuller also said that if response proves positive enough, there is still a chance that the show will be picked up next year, “The idea would be, in success, to start at the beginning of July to go to series. I would complete my work on HANNIBAL in mid-February and then segue immediately to MOCKINGBIRD LANE to get things ready to start shooting by July, should we be so fortunate to go to series.” And in all honesty, judging from the quality of this first teaser trailer, I kind of hope the figures warrant further episodes.
