If you haven’t seen the latest episode of AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. that aired Tuesday night in the US then you may not want to read any further!

Right, here it goes…
Now you might want to sit down as there’s no easy way of saying this but… Agent Grant Ward, a.k.a Butch Whoppercock … is a HYDRA sleeper agent. There, it’s said. It’s a lot to take in but after the events of CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER you suspected a revelation like that, right?
Speaking to Marvel, actor Brett Dalton defended his character’s duplicity, hinting that Ward may be more S.H.I.E.L.D. than he’d like to admit.
“Try as he might to keep those do it. And this whole thing has just opened up a kind of levity to it, a kind of, I won’t even say freedom – I’d say fun is the right word. There’s a real joy to it, and it’s great.”
Away from Agent Ward’s deception, it’s also been confirmed that upcoming AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. episodes will feature appearances by Cobie Smulders’ Maria and Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury.
