It’s been rumoured for a while now, but LEAGUE OF GENTLEMEN star Reece Shearsmith has now been confirmed to play Patrick Troughton, the second Doctor Who, in the forthcoming AN ADVENTURE IN SPACE AND TIME.

It’s been a busy weekend for the production, with Sunday seeing early morning shooting with Daleks on Westminster Bridge as the iconic scene from 1964’s THE DALEK INVASION OF EARTH was recreated.

AN ADVENTURE IN SPACE AND TIME, written by Shearsmith’s LEAGUE OF GENTLEMEN co-star Mark Gattis, and starring HARRY POTTER actor David Bradley as William Hartnell will air later in the year.
