We may be only five amount of episodes into AMERICAN HORROR STORY’s second season, but ratings for ASYLUM have been so strong that FX have already committed to a third season.

While details are obviously slim as to where Ryan Murphy & Brad Fulchuk’s will take the third, they’ve already confirmed the fabulous Jessica Lange’s return, with other regulars set to flesh out the cast too. Like ASYLUM, the third season will eschew the continuity of the former and spin a brand new tale.

But how could they possibly top what they’ve been doing this year? With so many wonderful cross-genre elements thrown into the plot of ASYLUM, it’s easily one of the most satisfying things on TV right now. Our only concern – how on Earth are they going to marry everything together? Let’s hope they’re more successful with the ending than they were on the first season…
