Following the continued record-breaking success of the small screen adaptation of his comic book THE WALKING DEAD, the AMC network are now turning to another of Robert Kirkman’s properties to bring to series. Sadly, it’s not INVINCIBLE (but that’s only a matter of time surely). Instead, Kirkman’s newly debuted title THIEF OF THIEVES will be getting the live-action treatment. What’s THIEF OF THIEVES you ask? Good question. Here’s the official synopsis according to publisher Image Comics

‘Conrad Paulson lives a secret double life as master thief Redmond. There is nothing he can’t steal, nothing he can’t have… except for the life he left behind. Now, with a grown son he hardly knows, and an ex-wife he never stopped loving, Conrad must try to piece together what’s left of his life, before the FBI finally catch up to him… but it appears they are the least of his worries.’

“Much like The Walking Dead brought horror to television in a unique and groundbreaking way”, says Kirkman, “I feel Thief of Thieves can do the same thing for heist stories, showing the humanity of all the characters, including the criminals.”

Ok, so technically this won’t fall under Starburst’s genre remit once it turns up on our screens, but since it’s Kirkman + comics we thought you guys would appreciate the heads-up.
