With Season 2 of ARROW having come to a close in the US last night, The CW is beginning to push their ARROW spin-off show, THE FLASH. Firstly, ARROW’s season finale was followed by a 1-minute teaser trailer, then a full 5-minute preview of THE FLASH hit the web earlier today.

Firstly, here’s that Oliver Queen-featuring teaser, in which Barry Allen appears to faster that a speeding, err, arrow:

And now for the biggie, the 5-minute look at THE FLASH:

Excited? It has to be said, these first looks are rather impressive. How the series pans out, we’ll have to wait and see when it debuts later this year. The guys behind ARROW have done wonders with that show, so it will be interesting to see how they handle this Metahuman-filled world.

THE FLASH is a show that has had its seeds already sown in ARROW. Grant Gustin, last seen involved in a certain accident during ARROW’s Season 2 mid-season finale, is Barry Allen, aka The Flash. Joining him are the pair of Danielle Panabaker and Carlos Valdes as Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost and Cisco Ramon/Vibe, respectively; a duo that have already appeared in a recent episode of ARROW. Making up the rest of THE FLASH are Rick Gosnett as Eddie Thawne/Professor Zoom, Candice Patton as Iris West, Jesse L. Martin as Detective West, Tom Cavanagh as S.T.A.R. Labs’ Harrison Wells, Michelle Harrison as Nora Allen, Patrick Sabongui as Central City Police Captain David Singh, and an unspecified role for former Flash John Wesley Shipp.

This ARROW spin-off has also now been confirmed as airing on Tuesdays during the fall in the US, aka autumn for us Brits. As for just where and when this show will find a UK home, we’ll bring you those deets as and when we get it.
