Londoner’s may consider moving out of the capital pretty sharpish, as Fox have announced that the resurrected 24 will shoot in the city.

There’s been talk of 24 filming in London for a few years, with the now abandoned movie supposed to take place there, but now it’s officially happening.

When the series ended in 2010 Jack Bauer (Keifer Sutherland) was on the run. Variety has confirmed that the new series will catch up with him on the run in the U.K. a few years later.

London’s not had a particularly good year, with the city taking a pounding in both G.I. JOE: RETALIATION and THOR: THE DARK WORLD, Danny Dyer moving to Walford and now whatever atrocities 24 will inflict on it.

Considering previous cities that have hosted CTU’s finest have been subject to exploding nuclear bombs, biological attacks, EMPs and that bit with the mountain lion that we’d all like to pretend never happened, it’s probably fair to say his stay in London will be far from uneventful.

The 12 part series, subtitled LIVE ANOTHER DAY, will air next year will take place over 12 hours instead of the usual 24. It sees the return of fan favourites Chloe O’Brien (Mary Lynn Rajskub) and Jack’s former girlfriend Audrey Raines (Kim Raver). What’s rhyming slang for ‘Dammit Chloe’?
