Starring Justin Long, Michael Parks, Haley Joel Osment, Genesis Rodriguez and Johnny Depp, Tusk will premiere its first trailer at San Diego Comic-Con this month.  Directed by Silent Bob’s twin Kevin Smith, the film is influenced by controversial Dutch horror flick The Human Centipede, where the narrative follows a surreal instance in which a guy is transformed into a WALRUS at the hands of a sea-faring surgeon.

A small number of photos have been uploaded onto the web from Smith’s latest creeper tale, which includes a new teaser poster with the release date attached and also of Justin Long’s character enduring his new mangled, aquatic skin.  The former provides an intriguing tone to the piece filled with claustrophobic depth as the two main characters appear mid-conversation in a room filled with toasty symbolism.

Throughout their time at Comic-Con, some of the team behind the film will host “The Musk of Tusk: An Evening With Kevin Smith” where you can find Smith, Osment and Rodriguez on the panel.  This special event will take place in Hall H on 25th July and starts at 6:35pm.

A spin-off film tentatively named Yoga-Hosers is in the works and Smith hopes to shoot this project soon. Tusk is produced by A24 Films and is scheduled to be released this year on 19th September.
