If King Arthur, Merlin, Sir Winston Churchill and Adolf Hitler weren’t enough, now comes word that Transformers: The Last Knight will also feature “mini Dinobots”.

Mark Wahlberg, who’ll be reprising his Cade Yeager role from Transformers: Age of Extinction for the film, revealed the news in a Facebook video, saying, “It’s a cool new story. It’s kind of like a man on the run. Sir Anthony Hopkins is also in the film, got a cool new cast and cool new robots, some cool new villains and some cool new Dinobots. I think you guys are gonna really go crazy for the mini Dinobots.”

As well as Wahlberg and Anthony Hopkins, The Last Knight will also feature Josh Duhamel as Lieutenant Colonel Lennox, Tyrese Gibson as Robert Epps, Stanley Tucci as Joshua Joyce, Isabela Moner as female lead Izabella, Liam Carrigan as King Arthuer, and then unknown roles for Jerrod Carmichael, Laura Haddock, and Santiago Cabrera (believed to be Merlin). On the Robots-in-Disguise front, we’ll see Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Drift, Hound, Megatron, Barricade, Onslaught, and then new Autobots Sqweeks and fan favourite Hot Rod. And given how Wahlberg made mention of “mini Dinobots”, you’d have to think that there’s a fair chance of seeing some of Age of Extinction’s larger Dinobots returning.

With Michael Bay once again directing, Transformers: The Last Knight is currently set for a June 23rd, 2017 release.
