Whilst we’re still not particularly sure a fifth Transformers movie is warranted, one’s happening regardless. And now that film has been given an official title.

Paramount Pictures have announced that from this day forward, Transformers 5 will be officially known as Transformers: The Last Knight. The latest in the Michael Bay-helmed franchise (yep, Bay is back once more for The Last Knight) will start production on June 6th in Detroit ahead of its release in June of next year.

All that we currently know about this next Transformers movie is that Mark Wahlberg will be back as Cade Yaeger, whilst Isabela Moner is the female lead of Izabella and Jerrod Carmichael is on board in another lead role.

Additionally, Transformers: The Last Knight won’t be the last that we’ll see of Michael Bay’s Robots in Disguise, for there’s already confirmed plans for another outing for the main franchise in 2018 as well as a Bumblebee-focussed spin-off movie for 2019.
