At a recent press conference for ARROW, John Barrowman gave some unexpected details about a return to radio for TORCHWOOD. It seems also that the producers of ARROW are big fans of both DOCTOR WHO and TORCHWOOD and have given John the OK to break-off from the show if TORCHWOOD were to return for a special.

John is suggesting there will be three or four episodes produced for the BBC – no clarity on whether these will be broadcast or go straight to CD. John is also considering writing one of them with his sister. One of the plays will be full-cast, the others will focus on specific characters – this would fit well with John’s hectic schedule. He also mentioned that Russell T. Davies and Julie Gardner would be involved, something Russell has not mentioned in recent interviews he has given on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of his bringing DOCTOR WHO back to our screens.

More TORCHWOOD (MIRACLE DAY aside) can only be a good thing and we will bring more details as and when they emerge.
