The upcoming Tomb Raider reboot has moved to bring in another new addition in the form of Daniel Wu.

Variety is reporting that the Into the Badlands actor will be playing a ship captain who helps Lara Croft in trying to find her father. This new take on Lara Croft, of course, is to be played by The Danish Girl and Ex Machina’s Alicia Vikander. Also on board for the film is The Hateful Eight’s Walton Goggins as the villain of the piece.

Fans of the Tomb Raider property have previously seen two outings from Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and The Cradle of Life. Of course, Tomb Raider originated as a video game first published back in 1996. The most recent game, 2013’s Rise of the Tomb Raider, has sold over 5 million copies, which shows that there’s still plenty of affection for the iconic Croft.

To be directed by The Wave’s Roar Uthaug, this new Tomb Raider effort is currently set for a March 16th, 2018 release.
