We’ve all been thinking that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man would be turning up when Earth’s Mightiest Heroes come together for Avengers: Infinity War, and now comes yet another indicator that this will indeed be the case.

Now, Holland himself has recently revealed that he’s got a six-picture deal as ol’ Web-head, and he’s also talked about how three of those films would be a trilogy that begins with this year’s Spider-Man: Homecoming. The other three outings as part of this deal would then either be appearances in team-up ensemble efforts or popping up in another hero’s film.

Courtesy of the Tom Holland Italia Twitter account, a new interview with Holland in L’Uomo Vogue sees the actor, who debuted as Spidey in last year’s Captain America: Civil War, say, “The approval for the role of Spider-Man arrives personally also by Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans. They who convinced the Marvel. The producers wanted to be sure that I was the right person before entrusting three films over the next four years, including Avengers: Infinity War.”

Obviously that’s a little bit of broken English due to translating things from Italian, but the general gist is that Downey Jr. and Evans played a part in Holland getting the Spider-Man gig, and that the Wall-crawler will indeed be present in Infinity War. As for the “three films over the next four years” part, that’s referring to Spider-Man: Homecoming and its sequel.

For Holland’s Spidey, Spider-Man: Homecoming is released on July 7th this year, then comes Avengers: Infinity Way on May 4th, 2018, with the Homecoming sequel already confirmed for July 5th, 2019.

Where Infinity War is concerned, Josh Brolin’s Thanos finally stepping out of the shadows will bring together Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man, Chris Evans’ Captain America, Chris Hemsworth’s Thor, Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk, Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow, Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye, Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlett Witch, Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man, Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange, Sebastian Stan’s Winter Soldier, Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury, Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana’s Gamora, Dave Bautista’s Drax, Bradley Cooper’s Rocket Raccoon, Vin Diesel’s Groot, and Brie Larson’s debuting Captain Marvel. It’s also expected that Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther will be another confirmed to take part in this huge superhero mash-up.
