Tom Holland’s debut as the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Spider-Man in this year’s Captain America: Civil wowed moviegoers and brought high anticipation as to what lies ahead for Holland’s Wall-crawler. Whilst he’s due to soar and swing next year in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Holland has been updating on what lies down the line for Spidey.

With Homecoming having now finished shooting, Holland was asked about a second solo Spider-Man movie, and it appears that that’s something that will indeed be happening as the actor enthused to WWD, “My next project, I can’t tell you about, but we’ve just finished Spider-Man and we’re talking about the second one and who the villain is going to be and where we’re going.”

Of course, the MCU also has two more Avengers movies on the horizon, and Holland was asked about whether ol’ Web-head will be turning up in those. “It’s all up in the air,” he said, “I believe some sort of deal is in the mix, but I’m unclear as to what that deal is.”

Spider-Man: Homecoming, to be directed by Cop Car’s Jon Watts, is currently set for a July 7, 2017 release, and Holland will be joined by a crammed cast that includes Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Michael Keaton as Adrian Toomes/The Vulture, Michael Chernus as Phineas Mason/Tinkerer, Bokeem Woodbine as Herman Schultz/Shocker, Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan, Kenneth Choi as the Principal of Midtown High, Zendaya as a female lead (rumoured to be Mary Jane Watson), Logan Marshall-Green as a TBC villain, and mystery roles for Donald Glover, Martin Starr, Michael Barbieri, Laura Harrier, Angourie Rice, Tony Revolori, Jacob Batalon, and Tyne Daly.
