In some news that’s sure to disappoint fans of The CW’s The Flash, Tom Felton won’t be returning as series regular for the show’s upcoming fourth season.

As per EW, Felton, who played Julian Albert in the Scarlet Speedster-centric series’ third year, will definitely not be back in a ‘series regular’ capacity for Season 4. Additionally, at this stage he’s yet to actually sign on to return even for some guest appearances. Of course, that doesn’t mean that the Harry Potter star won’t appear again at some point, although if he does then it will be in a drastically more restricted capacity than last season.

Time-wise, The Flash’s fourth season will start six months after the conclusion of Season 3 – with Barry Allen having gone off to become one with the Speed Force. Don’t let that fool you, mind, for Barry will be back in action sooner rather than later, with this new season’s ‘big bad’ being Neil Sandilands’ Thinker; a rogue who is a genius, telekinetic, mind-controlling sort.

The Flash returns to US screens on October 10th, with a UK return expected to follow shortly after.
