Here at STARBURST we’re big fans of Toby Kebbell, and as such it was painful to watch 20th Century Fox’s Fantastic Four. Luckily for us, the actor has moved swiftly to sign up to a new movie in order to help ease our memories of his ill-conceived Doctor Doom.

The Hollywood Reporter has word that Kebbell has been added to the upcoming Kong: Skull Island. As well as playing Victor Von Doom in Josh Trank’s doomed Fantastic Four movie, Kebbell is best known for wowing in the likes of Dead Man’s Shoes and RocknRolla, and he’s also signed up for big hitters like Warcraft and the redo of Ben-Hur. No details are known on his Skull Island role just yet.

Plot-wise, all we know about this latest look at the King Kong legacy is that it will focus on Kong’s titular island home and the beasts that inhabit it. Kebbell joins a cast that includes Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, John C. Reilly, Tom Wilkinson, Brie Larson and Corey Hawkins.

Kong: Skull Island is currently set for a March 10th, 2017 release.
