Following on from the truly brilliant and jaw-dropping Rise of the Planet of the Apes and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, it appears that the third film in this relaunched Apes series now has a title.

Whilst not official just yet, it’s being reported by Collider that the next film in the series will be called War of the Planet of the Apes. 20th Century Fox has not officially confirmed the title at this stage, but it certainly looks like a likely option.

Matt Reeves, director of last year’s Dawn, is returning to helm the next installment in the franchise, with him also co-writing the script with Mark Bomback. At present, the follow up to Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is currently set for a July 14th, 2017 release.
