Following on from yesterday’s news that Elden Hanson’s Foggy Nelson, Eka Darville’s Malcolm and Carrie-Anne Moss’ Jeri Hogarth will be a part of Marvel’s The Defenders, now comes word on three further confirmed additions to this upcoming mini-series.

Marvel Entertainment has announced that Rachael Taylor’s Trish Walker, Scott Glenn’s Stick, and Rosario Dawson’s Claire Temple will be a part of the show. Trish, who in the comic book realm is the superhero Hellcat, was a key part of Marvel’s Jessica Jones, Stick has been a part of Marvel’s Daredevil’s first two seasons, and Claire Temple has pretty much come and gone as she pleased throughout Marvel’s Netflix shows so far.

The news was revealed in the below announcement video:

The aforementioned names join a cast that currently includes Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, Finn Jones as Danny Rand/Iron Fist, Simone Missick as Misty Knight, and Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page. Additionally, it’s believed that Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle/Punisher will have a presence in the mini-series, too. Sigourney Weaver is signed on as the villain of the piece, although her character is being kept under wraps right now.

Marvel’s Daredevil’s Marco Ramirez and Doug Petrie are acting as showrunners on Marvel’s The Defenders, with the eight-episode show arriving on Netflix at a TBC 2017 date.
