Marvel are flying, full steam ahead, announcing more and more films.

And their latest announcement? Thor 2.

They have even given it a release date of 26th July 2013 for America. No word on the UK yet but you could put money on the same day.

With this release date, it puts it really close to Iron Man 3, which is released just two months earlier.

The first film has done surprisingly well, grabbing a total of $437 million from pockets worldwide. If anything would say to go ahead to make a sequel, it would be that.

The production company has confirmed that Chris Hemsworth will star as the character once again. However, Kenneth Branagh will not be directing the new film, only staying around for some producing.

Even though he will not direct, his replacement is yet to be announced. Other cast members are also yet to be announced.
