From Punisher to Predator, Thomas Jane is the latest name to join Shane Black’s upcoming The Predator.

The Hollywood Reporter has word of the addition, although Jane’s role has yet to be publicly revealed at this stage. The actor will be familiar to many for 2004’s The Punisher as well as the likes of Deep Blue Sea, Boogie Nights, Hung, Dreamcatcher and The Mist.

Jane joins a cast that includes Boyd Holbrook, Olivia Munn, Keegan-Michael Key, and Sterling K. Brown.

Plot details are sketchy right now, although The Predator will exist in the same continuity as the first two Predator movies. Interestingly, Arnold Schwarzenegger has confirmed he’s had “lunch” to discuss the possibility of a small role for his Dutch character from the original film.

With a script from Shane Black and Monster Squad co-writer Fred Dekker, The Predator is due to start shooting next month ahead of a February 9th, 2018 release.
