After years of rumours, it looks like Bill S. Preston, Esq. and Ted Theodore Logan will finally be heading back to the big screen. Yes, a third BILL & TED movie is seemingly back on the cards.

Speaking to Yahoo! about a third outing, Bill himself, Alex Winter, said, “It just takes a long time to put a movie together. Now we’re having to build this thing in public, which is fine. I just feel bad they have to get dragged through this long, boring, protracted process.”

The one-time Lost Boy added, “It’s all about Bill and Ted grown up, or not grown up. It’s really sweet and really fucking funny. It fits very neatly in the series. It’s not going to feel like a reboot. The concept is really funny: What if you’re middle-aged, haven’t really grown up, and you’re supposed to have saved the world and maybe, just maybe, you kinda haven’t?”

Winter concluded his words by saying that this next outing for the iconic duo will feature many versions of the characters.

Now we don’t want to be too much of a dickweed, but remember this is a project that has been on and off many a time since BILL & TED’S BOGUS JOURNEY was released in 1991, so don’t be getting your hopes up too much just yet. Still, the chance to see Wyld Stallyns once more would be all cool with us.

As ever, expect more on this as it happens.
