It never ceases to be a shock to us that a Killer Klowns from Outer Space sequel hasn’t managed to get off the ground in the 34 years since the cult movie’s release, but in the last week alone it looks like the beloved IP is heading in the right direction at last!

First up, we’ve just gotten the announcement via Gamescom that Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game will arrive on consoles and PC early next year courtesy of Teravision Games, with the action being set on the fateful night the merry maniacs first invaded Earth in 1988. Check out the awesome announcement trailer below:

But that’s not all, last week also gave us another dose of Klown chaos in this excellent short film, entitled The Jock, which was recently produced to promote the iconic villains’ return to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios with a new themed maze…

While most of us KKFOS fans won’t have the pleasure of attending, these clips are fun nonetheless, and allow us to ponder what could be done with a sequel if the rights holders were to greenlight a revival. After all, the film’s creators the Chiodo Brothers are all up for it, and the cultural clown obsession is stronger now than it even was in ’88! Surely it’s time for the circus to come back to town, MGM?

While the Blu-ray is now sadly out-of-print and commanding high prices on the secondary market, KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE is available to rent/buy digitally via Apple, Prime Video, and YouTube.
