Eager to see ARROW’s return or THE FLASH’s debut (we’ve seen it – it’s as brilliant as you’ve been hoping) later this year? Fear not, for Marc Guggenheim, producer of both shows, has revealed plans for some always-welcome comic books to fill the void.

Speaking to TV Guide, Guggenheim revealed, “We’ve tried to put in all the elements that people like about the show, so there will be Oliver and Felicity banter. We’re going to see what’s happened to Detective Lance after he collapsed in the season finale. A good chunk of the burning questions left over will get answered in the tie-in comic.”

Moving on to THE FLASH, he added, “FLASH: SEASON ZERO takes place between the pilot and Episode 2. Barry will already be The Flash, he will have his team, everyone will be in that world, and we’ll be introducing a new set of villains that we won’t be seeing on the TV show. It’ll feel like the same heart, humour and spectacle that you get watching FLASH.”

In terms of releases, ARROW: SEASON 2.5 will be available digitally on 1st September, with a print edition will follow on 8th October. THE FLASH: SEASON ZERO gets a digital release on 8th September and a print release on 1st October.

As for the TV shows, THE FLASH premieres on Tuesday, 7th October and Season 3 of ARROW drops on Wednesday, 8th October. Those airing dates are for The CW in the US – the UK dates will hopefully follow shortly.
