As The Gray Man continues to perform well on Netflix, Joe and Anthony Russo are already moving on with their next event film, The Electric State.

The Electric State is an adaptation of the illustrated novel by Simon Stålenhag, set in a retro-futuristic past in which an orphaned teenager (played by Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown) travels through the American West with a mysterious robot and an eccentric drifter in search of her little brother. Chris Pratt has already been confirmed to star in the project which is written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.

Now, according to a Deadline exclusive, a fantastic slate of actors have signed on to the Netflix-Russo collaboration – Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere All At Once), Stanley Tucci, Seinfeld’s Jason Alexander, Succession star Brian Cox, and Jenny Slate (The Bob’s Burgers Movie) are all set to join Brown and Pratt.

We don’t yet know who these actors will portray. Per an unofficial synopsis, The Electric State‘s landscape is populated by humans, isolated in their VR helmets, amidst a continuing battle against a strange breed of monstrous drones in the wake of a technological meltdown. The ruins of gigantic battle drones litter the countryside, heaped together with the discarded trash of a high-tech consumerist society in decline.

Production is due to begin this autumn, so expect further news soon.
