Whilst we’ve known that Marvel’s Netflix-exclusive heroes exist in the same world as the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe, we’ve all been wondering whether we’d actually see the likes of Charlie Cox’s Daredevil, Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones, and Jon Bernthal’s Punisher make it to the big screen at some point. Well, it looks as if there’s at least a chance of that happening…
Anthony and Joe Russo, the directors of Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War, are the men tasked with helming the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War, and they’re certainly not ruling any heroes out just yet.
Speaking to the Toronto Sun about whether the Netflix-based heroes would be considered for Infinity War, Anthony Russo teased, “We do consider everyone. We don’t want to get too specific about what’s going to happen with these movies. We want these movies to be a surprise for audiences.”
Given how Thanos is set to cause chaos on Earth in Avengers: Infinity War, the MCU is going to need all the heroes it can get, which could well mean the Netflix “Defenders” line-up joing the action alongside Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Already expected to join The Avengers in their next outing are the Guardians of the Galaxy team, and you can also expect Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange to have a part to play as well. As for Cox’s Daredevil, Ritter’s Jessica Jones, Bernthal’s Punisher, Mike Colter’s Luke Cage and Finn Jones’ Iron Fist, we’ll have to wait and see whether they make the transition from small screen to big screen when Infinity War hits screens on May 4th, 2018.SHARE YOUR COMMENTS BELOW OR ON TWITTER @STARBURST_MAG
