We here at STARBURST absolutely loved The Death of Superman Lives: What Happened?, and as such we’re eager for anyone who gets the chance to check it out to, well, check it out.

In some awesome news for those planning to attend Glasgow’s Restless Natives Festival, not only will there be a screening of the documentary, but there’ll also be an exclusive live Q&A via Skype with directors Jon Schnepp and producer Holly Payne.

The official word on all of this reads:

A Badge of Friendship will host a screening of documentary The Death of “Superman Lives”: What Happened? at Restless Natives Festival on Monday 9th May 2016, 7.30pm, at St. Luke’s, Glasgow. Following the screening there will be an exclusive live Q&A via Skype with director Jon Schnepp and producer Holly Payne.

Documentary The Death of “Superman Lives”: What Happened? is a film about possibly the greatest superhero film never made.

Superman Lives was set to be directed by Tim Burton and produced by Jon Peters, with Nicolas Cage in the starring role as The Man of Steel. It was intended for release in the 1990s but just before it was about to go into production, the project was completely scrapped and it became the stuff of Hollywood legends… that is until film-making duo director Jon Schnepp and producer Holly Payne crowd-funded The Death of “Superman Lives”: What Happened? in 2015, exploring the fabled movie’s unfortunate fate in-depth.

To give you an idea on our thoughts on The Death of Superman Lives: What Happened?, be sure to check out our review of the movie, not to mention our massively-fun interview with Jon Schnepp (complete with cameo from Holly Payne).

Restless Natives Festival takes place in Glasgow from May 9h to 15th. For more details on the event and to purchase tickets, head to RestlessNativesFestival.org.
