Dollhouse’s Fran Kranz has been added to the cost of the upcoming big screen adaptation of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower.

The Hollywood Reporter has word that Kranz, also known to genre fans for The Cabin in the Woods, will be playing the role of Pimli, described as “the right hand man of the Man in Black.” This is seemingly the film’s take on the Pimli Prentiss character from the source material.

Kranz joins a cast that currently includes Idris Elba as Roland Deschain/The Gunslinger, Matthew McConaughey as Randall Flag/The Man in Black, Abbey Lee as Tirana, and Tom Taylor as Jake Chambers.

The basic premise of King’s The Dark Tower, which encompasses eight novels and even ties-in with other books, follows The Gunslinger on his quest towards a mysterious tower in a world gone to hell. As well as a big screen movie, there’s also a tie-in TV series in development as well.

To be directed by Nikolaj Arcel, The Dark Tower is currently set for a January 13th, 2017 release.
