Having made quite the name for himself as Richard Harrow in BOARDWALK EMPIRE, Jack Huston is a talent whose star is on the rise – and that’s despite starring in SHROOMS. The actor is also taking centre-stage in the remake of BEN-HUR. But it now appears that he could very well end up taking the lead in the long-stagnated redo of THE CROW.

Deadline is reporting that Huston is the current favourite to play the anti-hero after Luke Evans got fed up of waiting for the project to happen and promptly departed the reboot.

This latest attempt at another CROW movie has been stuck in limbo for years, with actors and directors coming and going. At present, Corin Hardy is attached to direct from a script by Cliff Dorman. James O’Barr, creator of THE CROW mini-series back in 1989, is on board as a creative consultant.

After the success of O’Barr’s tragic tale, Alex Proyas directed the 1994 Brandon Lee-starring movie adaptation. There would then follow three further films and a TV series.

As ever, expect more on this as it develops.
