THE CONJURING is one of the very best horror films of the last decade or so. As such, there’s high hopes that THE CONJURING 2 will be an equally creepy affair. Now some details are starting to come out in regards to the plot of James Wan’s follow-up.

Speaking to ScreenCrush, director Wan revealed, “For this next one, it’s set in England and it has a very different vibe than the first movie. It still lives in the same world, but the location and the next case they have has a different flavour to it. So I’m very excited.”

Wan had recently taken to Instagram to reveal that the sequel will be set in Enfield, London, with many taking this as a sign that the plot of the film will centre on ‘The Enfield Poltergeist’. That particular case took place back in 1977 and 1978 and saw Peggy Hodgson and her four children, particularly daughters Margaret and Janet, tormented by an apparent demonic entity. It was also the basis of the famed BBC GHOSTWATCH mockumentary.

THE CONJURING 2 is currently set for a June 10th, 2016 release and it’s expected that Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will be returning as Ed and Lorraine Warren, respectively.
