Redshirt Films, those lovely people behind some rather brilliant online shorts, are planning to make a feature-length comedy horror movie and they need your help.

The Book Club follows the lives of a community of murderers. It explores what happens when a band of terrible human beings follow their dream of breaking away from the rules of normal, not-that-stabby society and live their own terrible, awful rules. Six years later and this little community of murderers has flourished wonderfully; they have regular bake-offs and ‘burn the postman’ events next to the village pond. All in an anarchic and monstrously British way.

When a local filmmaker learns of the group, he and a handful of crew are granted access to the horrible yet hilarious world. Getting in is easy, it’s leaving with all your parts attached which proves trickier for most. 

Redshirt Films are looking for enough funding to fill this fun little gorefest with as many practical effects as they possibly can. There crowd-funding trailer is definitely worth a quick watch, and the campaign runs until the June 28th. Go and take a look at their Kickstarter page.
