Given our love for the living dead here at STARBURST, we’d be genuinely disappointed if you hadn’t seen Lucio Fulchi’s THE BEYOND. But it’s not the end of the world, Grindhouse Releasing has announced the full tantalising specs of a new Blu-ray release of the film.
Made up of three discs, complete with glow in the dark artwork, the set contains the iconic soundtrack and a heap of bonus features, including: hi-definition digital transfer of the original uncensored director’s cut; 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio surround sound remix by Academy Award-winner Paul Ottoman; commentary by stars Catriona MacColl and genre superstar David Warbeck; new in-depth interviews with the stars; rare archival interviews with director Lucio Fulci and David Warbeck; liner notes by legendary horror journalist Chas Balun and EuroHorror expert Martin Beine; and extensive still galleries and theatrical trailers and more.
The film sees a hotel, built over one of seven gateways to hell, which becomes a demonic abyss, devouring bodies and the souls of all who enter. A gory masterpiece, this definitive Blu-ray will hit stores in February next year but is available to pre-order exclusively at Diabolik DVD.
