The New York Daily News has confirmed that TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES 2 will start shooting next month in New York and Buffalo.
On the news, Council Member Dan Garodnick said, “There is no better way to project the character of this city than through television and film. And what’s more New York than pizza-loving ninjas and a talking rat?” Exactly…
Plot-wise, nothing is exactly known on the sequel as of yet, although there’s heavy suggestion and speculation that Bebop and Rocksteady will appear, with concept art previously released to show that the pair were at one time planned for the first film.
EARTH TO ECHO’s David Green is directing, with Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form producing. It’s also believed that the core cast of the film – such as Megan Fox, William Fichtner, Pete Ploszek, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, Alan Ritchson, Danny Woodburn, Johnny Knoxville and Tony Shalhoub – will return once more.
At present, TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES 2 is set for a June 3rd, 2016 release.
