A24 is reteaming with writing-directing twin brothers Danny and Michael Philippou for a sequel to their summer horror breakout film Talk to Me, to be titled (we bet you can work it out)… Talk 2 Me.

It will be written by Danny Philippou and Bill Hinzman, and is set to be directed once again by Danny and Michael Philippou. Talk to Me world premiered at Sundance Film Festival earlier this year as part of their Midnight Selections programme, and was picked up for a hefty sum by A24 after receiving rave reviews.

As we reported last week, the brothers have also said they had already filmed some form of a prequel centring on the character Duckett, whose demise is witnessed in the opening sequence of Talk to Me. It’s unclear whether this footage will be released.

Talk to Me is produced by Causeway Films’ Samantha Jennings and Kristina Ceyton. The Philippou brothers’ film joins A24 horror franchises like Ti West’s X trilogy, with the upcoming film MaXXXine starring Mia Goth, Halsey, Elizabeth Debicki, Moses Sumney, Michelle Monaghan, Bobby Cannavale, Lily Collins, Giancarlo Esposito, and Kevin Bacon.
