As The Conjuring and its spinoffs keep expanding, so too seemingly does that universe’s number of Farmigas.

As per Deadline, Corin Hardy’s The Nun has brought in Taissa Farmiga to its ranks. Farmiga, of course, is no stranger to genre fans, having appeared in American Horror Story and The Final Girls. The 22-year-old is the younger sister of Vera Farmiga, who has appeared in James Wan’s two Conjuring films as Lorraine Warren. Where The Nun is concerned, Taissa has landed the titular lead role.

What we know about Hardy’s film so far is that Demian Bichir will be playing Father Burke, a priest tasked with investigating the death of the nun seen tormenting Vera Farmiga’s Elaine in The Conjuring 2.

Set for a July 13th, 2018 release, The Nun will mark the fifth film of this shared universe, following The Conjuring, The Conjuring 2, Annabelle and the upcoming Annabelle: Creation – itself booked in for a release this coming August.
