This morning brings word that Supergirl has expanded its cast with the addition of Emma Caulfield.

The Mary Sue is reporting that the Buffy actress has landed the role of Cameron Chase, a comic book character who is generally somebody usually reserved for the Batman books. After her father is brutally murdered, Chase ends up working her way up to becoming a DEO agent who battles extranormal antics. Supergirl’s official description of this new addition reads, “Now a stern, no holds barred FBI agent, Chase’s weapons of choice are manipulation and manpower. With little sympathy, and plenty of suspicions, she pursues her targets with ruthless determination.”

So, it sounds like Kara Zor-El has yet another threat to deal with going forward.

Supergirl airs every Thursday on Sky1 in the UK, and is far more enjoyable than many had expected.
