With new additions being added as fast as a speeding bullet lately, SUPERGIRL has added yet another two faces. This time, it’s some familiar faces in the form of Dean Cain and Helen Slater.

Cain, of course, is best known for playing the Man of Steel in the ‘90s LOIS & CLARK: THE NEW ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN, whilst Slater played the titular heroine in 1984’s SUPERGIRL. The pair also both appeared in another DC-based “Super” show, SMALLVILLE.

The exact roles that Cain and Slater will be playing are unknown at this stage, but they’re arrival brings similarities with THE FLASH in how that show cast former Flash John Wesley Shipp in the role of Barry Allen’s father.

Also on board for CBS’ SUPERGIRL are Melissa Benoist as Kara Danvers/Kara Zor-El/Supergirl, Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen, Laura Benanti as Alura Zor-El, Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant, Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers, and David Harewood as Hank Henshaw.
