With a Suicide Squad video game having been rumoured for a few years now, it seems that the game has finally been completely scrapped.

Warner Bros. Montreal, who were also behind Batman: Arkham Origins, were developing the game, but now any Squad-driven game has been axed. Kotaku is reporting the news, and it’s now believed that the developer will turn their attention to a Damian Wayne-based game instead.

The reason for the Suicide Squad game, which was to focus heavily on a co-op element, being cancelled is due to management at Warners being unimpressed with what they’d seen from the game so far. Now their attention is being switched to a game focussing on Damian, although it’s expected that this new game won’t move forward for a little while due to some ongoing staff changes at Warner Bros. and its game divisions right now.

As ever, expect more on this as it develops.
