After last year’s fantastic inaugural STARBURST International Film Festival, we’re pleased to open submissions for independent films for this year’s event.

2016 saw us screen a host of amazing films from all around the world, including This Giant Paper-Mache Boulder is Actually Really Heavy, Good Tidings, Frankenstein Created Bikers, The Lighthouse, and Don’t You Recognise Me? among others. Submissions are now open on FilmFreeway for this year’s event, and we expect a similarly high standard of entries.

Each film (and short) accepted will be eligible for the STARBURST Fantasy Awards and the chance to receive a coveted ‘Roboto’ statue.

You can see the Award Winners video below:

To submit your film for consideration, head over to FilmFreeway.

The STARBURST International Film Festival 2017 will take place in Manchester at the MMU Union building on August 25th to August 27th. Tickets will be on sale soon.
