Treat this as a rumour for now, but there’s a story doing the rounds suggesting that we could be seeing the trailer for the next Star Wars movie attached to one of 2016’s biggest movies.

Star Wars Times is reporting that the first trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story could arrive in front of Captain America: Civil War. With Disney putting out both the Star Wars movies and the Marvel Cinematic Universe efforts, it would certainly make sense that the Rogue One trailer hits with Civil War.

With The Force Awakens currently destroying box office records and winning plaudits from fans and critics alike, anticipation and excitement around all things Star Wars is at a high not seen for many a year.

Where Rogue One is concerned, the film, set between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, will focus on a group of Rebels on a mission to snatch the plans for the Death Star. Sound familiar? Just a tad. On board to star are Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, and Forest Whitaker.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is currently set for a December 16th release, with Captain America: Civil War hitting UK screens on April 29th ahead of a worldwide release on May 5th.
