For those who have the Holy Trilogy on good ol’ VHS, then the complete six movies on DVD and later on Blu-ray, now comes news that the STAR WARS saga is soon to be available in another format. Yes, the action of a galaxy far, far away is to be made available on Digital HD as of Friday.

The official words on this release reads:

As anticipation builds for the December release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the first new film in the Star Wars Saga in a decade, The Walt Disney Studios, Lucasfilm Ltd., and 20th Century Fox today announced the upcoming release of The Star Wars Digital Movie Collection. For the first time ever, all six epic films in the Saga, from The Phantom Menace to Return of the Jedi, will be available on Digital HD throughout the galaxy – or at least here on Earth – globally beginning Friday, April 10.

The films will be available to purchase as a complete collection or as individual movies, with it also revealed that some new bonus features will be included in the purchases. Keep your eyes peeled on Friday for the full release options.

In the meantime, a new trailer has been released in order to whet your appetite ahead of Friday’s release:
