The gang’s getting back together in the teaser for the third and final season of Paramount+’s Star Trek: Picard, which was just unveiled by Patrick Stewart during the global live-streamed Star Trek Day event. The service also announced that the ten-episode season would premiere on Thursday, February 16th, in the United States.

Jean-Luc Picard can’t catch a break (or a retirement; it seems the world needs to be saved again, and he’s the only one up to the task. At least this time, he’s aboard a brand-new ship equipped with an old and reliable crew.

The teaser shows us LeVar Burton’s Geordi La Forge, Michael Dorn’s Worf, Gates McFadden’s Dr Beverly Crusher, and Marina Sirtis’ Deanna Troi. Next Generation and Picard alum Jonathan Frakes’s Will Riker and Brent Spiner’s Data also return to the series, alongside Jeri Ryan’s Seven of Nine and Michelle Hurd’s Rafaella. There’s not a dry eye in sight – at least, not on our side of the screen.

We don’t know much about what dangers they’ll face or what this final adventure may have in store for the crew of the U.S.S. Titan, but safe to expect further details as we get closer to release.

12 Monkeys creator Terry Matalas steps in as showrunner for the third season, which will also be the series’ last.
