With Captain America: Civil War bursting to the seams with marauding Marvel hero’s the Guardians of the Galaxy may well be conspicuous by their absence. However, fear not True Believers as at least one of the rag-tag spacefaring team could be making an appearance in Avengers: Infinity War. Directors Joe and Anthony Russo have teased that it could be none other than Star-Lord.

Anthony told Comicbook.com, “The movies are intended to be a culmination of everything that’s happened before in the MCU so you don’t want to get into spoilers but I’m a big fan of what James Gunn has done. are both big fans of what James Gunn has done. Star-Lord is a fantastic character and Chris Pratt is an awesome performer so you’d be very excited.”

Joe added that he’s “excited to work with Thor. They’re doing some really interesting stuff with Ragnarok and where he’s gonna be at the beginning of Infinity War is gonna be a very interesting place and I think very profound. I think he’s gonna have a real emotional motivation after that.”

Captain America: Civil War rages into UK cinemas April 29th and then May 6th in the US.

Infinity War Parts I and II are scheduled for release on May 4th, 2018 and May 3rd, 2019, respectively.
