Ah… For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighbourhood hero is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Superhero. When he asks for help from Doctor Strange, the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man.

After WandaVision and Loki worked to set up the Marvel multiverse, Spider-Man: No Way Home will be the first feature in the MCU to truly demonstrate the scope and mayhem of the multiverse. Even for a Marvel movie, No Way Home has been the subject of a dizzying number of rumours and fan theories.

The majority of speculation has centred on just how far down the multiverse rabbit hole the studio would go, a frenetic discourse that was kickstarted by news of Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock and Jamie Foxx’s Electro‘s entry into MCU canon after each was introduced in a different Spider-Man world. Further casting news have brought Rhys Ifans’ Lizard and Thomas Haden Church’s Sandman into the fold, while poster reveals have also teased the return of Green Goblin, with Willem Dafoe hopefully reprising the role.

Obviously, this then convinced many fans that former Spider-Man actors Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield would return as variants of Tom Holland’s Peter Parker. Will theories become reality? It seems we’ll have to wait a little longer to find out…

Without further ado, may we present the brand-new trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home:

Spider-Man: No Way Home releases in UK cinemas December 15th, and in the US on December 17th.
