Filming is currently underway in the Dominican Republic on the all-women shark survival thriller Something In The Water, which is being directed by Justice League and Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Episode VII) art director Hayley Easton Street for StudioCanal, Deadline reports.

The movie will follow five friends who come together to celebrate a wedding in a beautiful, remote location. One day before the wedding, as a treat, they go on a boat trip which descends into the stuff of nightmares as the women must fight for their lives in open water. Good Omens writer Cat Clarke penned the script, with a cast including Hiftu Quasem (Ten Percent), Lauren Lyle (Outlander), Natalie Mitson (The Last Bus), Nicole Rieko Setsuko (Only One Gets Out Alive), and Ellouise Shakespeare-Hart (Ten Percent).

“This is an elevated survival film, unlike anything else I’ve worked on, with incredible strong female leads at the heart of the story,” said director Hayley Easton Street. “Something In The Water will be an emotional and visual experience, putting the audience at the centre of the action and using seamless VFX to bring the terror to life. I couldn’t be more excited to helm this movie.”

The anticipated release window for Something In The Water has yet to be announced.
