Consider our interest piqued. As the headline says, a Sin City TV series is in the works.

Per Deadline, The Weinstein Company and Dimension are developing a TV show based around Frank Miller’s iconic Sin City tales. Details are scarce at this early stage, but we do know that former The Walking Dead showrunner Glen Mazzara has been brought in to work on the script for a series being described as a “departure from the films” and one that will introduce original characters and timelines.

Underworld’s Len Wiseman has already been signed on to direct the pilot episode, and, while a home has yet to be found for the show, several networks have already shown interest in housing this new take on Miller’s fan favourite Sin City – itself a property that began life back in 1991, and one that has already seen action in two big screen movies courtesy of Miller and Robert Rodriguez.

Expect to be hearing a whole lot more on this as and when we get it.
