In some news that will surely appeal to those who love a great future-set tale of sci-fi and tension, STARBURST’s very own Richard Thomas has released his very first fiction novel, The Human Factory.

The Human Factory is the first tile in the new Sci-Fi Worlds eBook series published by Bretwalda Books, which will feature original science fiction stories in the same vein as the Golden Age or “pulp” era of science fiction. The story follows David after he is “birthed” into a dystopian future world, in which machines manufacture humans in factories.

By 2045, all natural births are outlawed in the 150 member zones of the tyrannical United Earth States (UES). Instead, humans are grown by machines in factories and birthed as fully-grown men and women. After receiving their memory implant surgeries, these newborn adults are left fully indoctrinated slaves of the state… unless something goes wrong.

Time to wake up!
