Get set for chaos, for a sequel is on the way for last year’s San Andreas.

The Hollywood Reporter has word that a sequel is in development, with New Line having already brought in Neil Widener and Gavin James to work on the script.

It’s believed that star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will be returning, plus likely returns for Carla Gugino, Paul Giamatti and Alexandra Daddario. At this early stage, no plot details are known, although we’re sure you can expect damage and destruction aplenty.

Released last year, San Andreas was largely panned by critics. Despite this, the film took home nearly $500 million at the global box office from a budget of $110 million.
