With Legendary Pictures and Universal Studios’ Kong: Skull Island seeing some shakeups lately – namely J.K. Simmons and Michael Keaton departing, and Brie Larson and Corey Hawkins being added – it appears as if the latest Kong effort is close to getting some further additions.

Deadline is reporting that The Avengers’ Samuel L. Jackson, Boogie Nights’ John C. Reilly and Batman Begins’ Tom Wilkinson are all in talks for the film. Jackson would be taking over from Simmons, Reilly would be replacing Keaton, and Wilkinson is up for one of the leads of the film.

If any of the aforementioned names do join Skull Island, they’ll be joining a cast that currently includes Larson, Hawkins and the God of Mischief himself, Tom Hiddleston. Russell Crowe was recently in talks, but he is now supposedly completely out of the picture.

Set to explore King Kong’s island home and the beasts that inhabit it, Kong: Skull Island is currently set for a March 10th, 2017 release.
